AWS and Google Cloud Bury the Lock-In War — Their Joint Multicloud Framework Resets the Rules for CIOs

On August 12, 2026, AWS and Google Cloud unveiled an open-source multicloud interoperability framework that eliminates egress fees and standardizes identity across both platforms.
